Wanting to make this classic pattern I drafted the feather on freezer paper. I then decided to use a non-traditional color. I also realized I wanted to incorporate reverse appliqué within the piece. After finishing one block I determined that was enough and proceeded with adding borders. In my opinion the saw tooth borders accentuates the center medallion. Beautiful machine quilting. A single narrow binding with miter corners completes the piece. 87” X 87”.
