Quilts Madder (taken from the color red) is actually a Medallion Quilt. An idea taken from an antique quilt. If you look closely at the center you will see 9-nine patch squares separated by narrow sashing. The quilt progressed from this center piece including fabric pieces found in the trash having been discarded by a fellow quilter from a retreat I attended. Free form stars and pinwheels form another border. Published in Liberated Medallion Quilts, Gwen Marston, AQS Publishing, 2012. Machine quilted. A single narrow binding with miter corners and hanging sleeve completes the quilt. 67 1/2” X 86”.
